Britain and France have both sent naval vessels to the Channel island of Jersey amid an escalating row over fishing rights. The UK’s decision to send naval vessels was the result of a discussion between British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and local officials about a blockade by dozens of French fishermen of Jersey capital Saint Helier, a Downing Street statement said.
